Tandy was inspired by several different fictional characters I've adored over the years, starting with the character Tananda, from Robert Aspirin's Myth series of books - the primary source for bright green hair. Her hair was microrooted by hand in three different shades of verdant mohair for depth of color. I dyed the hair myself so I know it's color-fast! Because it's soft mohair, Tandy's hair can be styled in many ways: braids, pigtails.. if you add some clear alcohol-free gel, you can even get spikey punk styles!
She is the first fashion doll I've given a complete body makeover to and I /love/ the results! It took lots of time to sand her to smoothe the seam-lines production leaves. I blushed all her important parts - toes, fingers, nipples.. even 'down below' for a realistic, healthy glow! Her face was hand-painted with pro doll paints, sealed several times to keep the paint safe. Her lips and eyes and nails were all triple-sealed with clear gloss for high shine that won't yellow.
Her body is a Volks EB base doll that fits into clothes like Barbie, Jenny, Azone and more! Her feet are larger than Barbie's - Blythe and Pullip sized shoes are perfect (full sized, not the minis) for her and of course Volks makes shoes in her size.
