Bella is a cross between an inspiration and an accident. The accident: I purchased the wrong size of body. I thought I wanted an A body (the small-chested one seen here) for another project when in fact I needed a C body. That project got finished and I still had an A body with no idea behind it. So I stowed the doll for a few weeks.
 Then one day while browsing about for something unrelated, I saw a picture featuring mohair locks for the goth/raver club crowd. The locks of wildly-colored hair inspired me so I set about rooting the doll's head. A quick search for clothes that would fit her petite body turned up a tiny top and a custom-made skirt a friend of mine crafted for me in trade for a face-up I did for one of her dolls. Perfect. Reminded me of a ballerina's outfit when I tried them her on and I dubbed her Bella, Italian for 'beautiful'.
 Update: I've completed Bella! If you click on the picture to the left, you'll see her ready for assembly after her blush was applied and fixed with special spray made to hold the color fast (Bella is anatomically correct and shown nude). My sister has been coveting this doll so she may never make it to my virtual salesroom but I'll have more pictures of her fully assembled and dressed to put into her gallery for look-sees.
