Dollfie, Obitsu and other 27cm blank-base dolls were my first experience with truly customizing dolls. I'd done some paint touch-ups before and hair repair. A friend of mine collected them and made clothes for them and after seeing my illustration and digital artwork, suggested that I might do well at face-ups. I tentatively tried one (Toby was my first full doll) and I fell in love with the craft. I can't sew; the outfits the dolls wear in the photos below are either mass-produced (domestic and imported) or they were custom-ordered from other artisans.
